The opportunities resulting from German reunification lead to the establishment of the E+M Bohr und Brunnenbau GmbH branch in Leipzig in 1990. Furthermore, EMU Unterwasserpumpen GmbH immediately secures itsself a customer group in the direct vicinity by establishing sales offices in the area, which was formerly the main working area of the deceased Etschel seniors. They win back old customers from before the war.
After the reunification, the 90's are marked by a dynamic growth with EMU. New production facilities are built. At the same time the enlargement of the EMU office building and the new construction of the production and office buildings for EMU Anlagenbau take place - all on company-owned property.
The new buildings are completed in 1995. The staff of Etschel & Meyer GmbH + Co.KG moves to the extended administration building.

The 4th Generation
Rainer Etschel starts working at the E+M Bohr GmbH Company in 1985 and joins the management board of Etschel & Meyer + Co.KG in 1990. His brother Gerhard, employed at EMU Unterwasserpumpen GmbH since 1987, joins the management board there in 1993. They found additional companies in Germany and abroad and thus make an important contribution towards the Group's expansion.
In 1996 Rudolf Etschel leaves the management board of EMU Unterwasserpumpen GmbH, and Klaus Hagen, head of the design department for many years, succeeds him as technical managing director.
The turn of the millennium is dominated by the innovation. New products and organizational changes in structure of the production processes consolidate the position of EMU as one of the leading pump companies in the world. The product program is continually strengthened and the globalization is taken into account by sales expansion in new countries.
