Symposium for Sewage Treatment Plant Operators, Emden 2006 |

On Oct. 26, 2006 abt. 40 people working in sewage treatment plants and in the range of sewage treatment plant technology met in the "Nordseehalle" in Emden. Mr. Fuchs, the responsible sales representative, invited to the "1st Symposium for Sewage Treatment Plant Operators" of the company WILO EMU GmbH in this region.
In the first part Mr. Hübner explained modifications and improvements in the range of sewage pumps. Main emphasis was placed on the different hydraulics and drive systems of submersible sewage pumps. Another important point was the material technology in the sewage range by using the modern coating systems Ceram C0 - C3. In the second part Mr. Hügelmeyer presented the topic "Documents regarding ex-proof in sewage treatment plants".
The following discussion was an exchange of experiences between experts of different sewage treatment plants and employees of the DWA (German Association for Water Mangaement, Sewage and Waste). The result of the evaluation of a questionnaire showed that the symposium was considered a success regarding technical contents and also organization.
Conclusion of this event: a successful and informative day with great expert audience.
