In biological treatment WILO Rotox jet aerator systems are providing sufficient oxygen for the microorganisms of the activated sludge. For this atmospheric oxygen is injected into the sewage-activated sludge-mixture according to the jet aerator principle.
Low speed WILO Maxiprop and WILO Megaprop submersible mixers are used in sewage treatment plants for the suspension of solids and for a selective flow generation.
In nitrification, anaerobic and denitrification tanks these mixers prevent settling of activated sludge flakes, i.e. they stir them up and keep them in suspension.
