During the rainy season many Vietnamese regions are threatened by floods. To protect the city of Vinh City in Central Vietnam a storm water retaining basin ( reservoir ) of several square kilometers size with pumping station was built ( German planning involved, too ).
To guarantee a sufficient protection from floods during the rainy season, a pumping station with subsequent effluent building and effluent channel to the Sg Ca river was built.
Due to the application of 6 WILO EMU submersible sewage pumps type FA 50.21 + T 422 ( DN 500 ) installed in the pumping station in wet sump installation including lowering device, the controlled and safe drainage of the rain water is guaranteed. The station is equipped with WILO EMU switch gears and control panels and was put into operation in 2001.
